Overview
English for Professional Purposes is designed to progressively broaden and deepen the language knowledge and skills demonstrated by working adults at a range of levels. Students are given the opportunity to enhance written and verbal communication skills that employers seek. Students learn fundamental ideas of the different components of English Language and its practices, concentrating on the most applied skills for work and social communication.
Objective
- To improve skills in spoken and written English alongside enhancing confidence for progression in professional settings.
- Project importance on presentation skills, report writing, business email writing and document composition.
- Acquire formal and informal form of communication.
Course Framework
Lessons conducted are student centred to promote student participation through our integrated study framework involving:
- Formal and informal command of language
- Reading (to enhance vocabulary and pronunciation)
- Listening to talks/presentations and making notes
- Performing formal presentations
- Participating in meetings and conferences
- Understanding and summarizing important elements of a professional script
