The Proficiency in English Language Course at Wordsworth Language Centre is designed to elevate students’ level of proficiency in the English Language through all the four skills of language learning, especially reading and writing. Students gain from an extensive diversity of class activities established to apply what they have learned into practice.

- Practising the skills required for English Language fluency, including the knowledge and correct use of conventions in the English language

Apart from English courses, Wordsworth Language Centre also offers courses of other languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, French, French and Malay language. These at current state are high-demand world languages.
1. Mandarin is the current communication medium in the fastest growing economy in the world. It is extensively used in countries like China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore. The baily to speak mandarin encourages business skills in the East as well as the West.
Beginner: The beginners level advocates a comprehensive approach, cultivating interactive learning from Beginners up to Lower Intermediate level. The programme integrates speaking, reading, and writing skills. It concentrates on pronunciation with accurate intonation through use of phonetics and Chinese characters.

Intermediate: Prepares intermediate level students with the vocabulary to speak Mandarin like a native while gaining some cultural understanding alongside improving fluency in Mandarin for day to day use.
Advanced: Focusses on comprehension exercises to create interactive learning through paraphrasing and descriptive dialogue. This level provides immense opportunity to practice speaking.

2. Japanese Language a language spoken in Japan, one of the wealthiest countries of the world. The ability to speak the Japanese language expands the chances for jobs in many Japanese and American based companies where Japanese language is in demand. It’s also advantageous in the tourism division.
Beginner 1 Basic conversation on greetings, self-introduction, etc. Learning Japanese character “Hiragana” and “Katakana”.
Beginner 2 Learn how to express your feelings. Ability to engage in a conversation with basic Japanese proficiency.
Intermediate 1 Learn how to express your feelings. Read and write simple texts/composition.
Intermediate 2 Master the basic Japanese grammar, vocabulary (approx. 800 words) and engage in conversations. Able to sit for the JLPT test to score N5
Intermediate 3 & 4 Able to sit for the JLPT test to score N4 Confidently read and write compositions.
Advance Course Able to score N1, N2 and N3 for the JLPT test Capable to enrol in universities or pursue for jobs in Japan

3. French is the language of love and the fashion industry. It is spoken widely in parts of Africa and some parts of Asia. French also being the most common medium of instruction in the tourism industry.
4. Malay Language This module introduces the basic structure of the language through topics related to social and everyday life in Malaysia. You will acquire the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing together with basic grammatical structures which enables you to use the language for basic communication.
